angel lin
Angel Lin is a writer, sculptor, and researcher who has made herself a home in Oakland, San Jose, Seattle, Paris, Saigon, and everywhere in between. A wanderer raised in the Pacific Northwest, she sees the natural and the manmade worlds as necessarily interconnected. Derived from concepts in Ecofeminism and Environmental Sociology, her art dances this line between the natural and the human—the sacred and the profane.
When Angel isn’t sculpting, you’ll find her drafting a blog post at a local cafe or reading by Lake Merritt. With a formal training in Sociology and Critical Race Studies from Santa Clara University, she conducts research on immigrant communities while exploring themes of diaspora and identity.
Angel’s advocacy in disability rights, policing reform, and basic needs access is fundamental to her art. Her expression of the human form is just one medium for her examination of the human condition.
